How We Make a Difference
At Roosevelt County Health Council, we’re dedicated to building a healthier, safer, and stronger community through the following efforts:
We work to reduce alcohol, marijuana, and other drug use among youth.
We educate the public about the legal and personal risks of providing alcohol to minors.
We promote safe and responsible choices to reduce drinking and driving at all ages.
We share information and resources to prevent prescription drug misuse and abuse, helping to lower opioid addiction and overdose rates.
We support better nutrition and physical activity opportunities for both students and the wider community.
We oversee a national volunteer service program that trains members to make a positive impact in their local communities.
We assist individuals and families experiencing homelessness in finding stable housing, and help those at risk of homelessness stay in their homes.
We encourage cultural awareness, inclusion, and strong community relationships.
We offer programs and information that empower people to make healthy, informed lifestyle choices.
We collaborate with local partners and organizations to combine efforts and strengthen our county’s resources.
